The POOL is Open, weather is HOT

Gaylord Blackburn, Frank Samuelson and Mike Willemsen, have worked very hard this year to do all that was necessary to repair, replace, Pump Motor, Filtering system, scrape, clean, paint , etc, IT was an enormous job, with no volunteers and the cold, wet weather hampering their work. WE, as members of the association, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.

We also wish to Thank Gaylord for his dedication to our Pool, 7 days a week, all summer long. He has agreed to stay on for another season at a very meager stipend but next year, if we do not find someone to train, we will have to hire a Company to do the maintenance at much higher costs. Perhaps even cause another rise in HOA rates.

Katie Foster and Danielle Morris are the Pool Supervisors, doing a great job. Pool hours are Mon. thru Thurs., Noon till 5 PM, Fri., Sat. & Sun. 11 AM till 6 PM

Pat Tarpley offered to hold a seat on the Board and since there was an opening, he was voted in on a temporary basis, until his proxy is voted in September. Pat Volunteered to clean the Common Area, again no other volunteers. THANKS, Pat for a job well done.

VIP Program: Some homeowners got an early start on clearing this year and we Thank Frank, Mike and Jan Turner for helping us keep a Fire Safe Community.

Thanks, also to Eugene Bartee for keeping up our web site.

Please Note: Your Board of Directors did not create our CC&R’s, However they are charged with Enforcing them on behalf of all Homeowners. Please co-operate when ever an infraction is pointed out.

Also, in the interest of safety, it is very important for us to know who is residing in each home, so that, in an emergency, you can be contacted.

If you are a non-resident owner, PLEASE contact Sera, our Administrative Assistant, by mail, ALPHA, POBOX 722, Arnold, CA 95223, or e-mail serajames@yahoo.com and Advise us of the names of all renters residing in your home, and an emergency Phone # where you can be reached.

EBBETTS PASS FIRE DISTRICT: There will be a vote on re-consideration of a pair of Special taxes in the Greater Arnold area. The special election will be by mail ballot in Sept 05 asking if measures should be reviewed. If a simple majority of voters say yes, fees would come up for re-consideration in Nov. 06 and at that time would need 2/3 s approval for passage. A 1998 fee charged property owners $39.00 per improved parcel and $11.00 per unimproved parcel. A second fee instituted last year added another $89.00 per improved parcel and $26.00 per year for unimproved. The first fee covers 3 fire fighter/paramedic positions, plus equipment costs. The 2004 fee funds 6 positions, helps staff the Hathaway Pines Station and helps support the district Ambulance service. If the measure wins in Sept., it would require that future parcel taxes automatically come up for reconsideration by the voters every 8 years during gubernatorial elections. Many residents thought the 2004 fee would provide free ambulance service but they are still being billed for services. Please Vote...YEA or NAY... But VOTE...

Please make an effort to be at the Annual meeting, Sept.3, 2005 at 3:30 PM, at the Pool. Your attendance is most important. This is your opportunity to participate, personally, in the Business of the Association and to express your opinions and concerns regarding Lilac Park.

I would like to Thank and Compliment our Board Members for making this Homeowners Association operate so efficiently.

Assets and Liabilities Report: There are No pending litigations and the assessments are adequate. No increases are being contemplated.
