Board Minutes September 10, 2005

The meeting was called to order at 10:03 am by President Alice Taylor. A quorum was established. Board members present were President Alice Taylor, Secretary Eugene Bartee, Treasurer Jeff Lindevald; Directors Nancy Cockshott, Frank Samuelson, Michael Willemsen, Dee Willemsen, and Pat Tarpley. Also present were Susan Tarpley (lot 55), Linda Blythe (lot 98) and Sera James, Administrative Assistant. Vice-President Geri Hill, and Director Jan Turner were excused.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved, Frank Samuelson motioned and Mike Willemsen seconded. So moved.

Correspondence A message on the answering machine regarding Don Fry RE and mention of ALPHA was made and the administrative assistant responded and answered all inquiries – homeowner was fed misinformation regarding situations in Lilac Park and is now appeased. Lot 98 submitted correspondence.

Treasurer’s Report was reviewed and approved by Mike Willemsen and seconded by Pat Tarpley.

Old Business: Katie is supposed to pick up the keys that Danielle Morris held while pool supervisor. Questions were asked regarding the microwave that Mike Willemsen purchased on behalf of the association but is now missing.

Regarding the resurfacing the pool – Mike Willemsen discussed and has Mike Parker performing the repairs necessary for the coating to seal to the sides and lips of the swimming pool. We have received a new invoice for the repair/preparation part of his service in the amount of $1720 including a guarantee of his work. Total of both the repair and the resurfacing of the pool will be $10,385. The amount was discussed and is close to the budgeted amount of $10K that was okay’d by the board at an earlier date and was okay’d by the general membership in the annual proxy. Mike Willemsen is to tell Mike Parker to go ahead with the project. Mike Parker is asking for ½ of the costs paid upfront – since the project includes huge product purchase, the board okay’d the advance. Board Vote: 6 yes, 1 no, 1 abstained.

Annual BBQ was a success!!! The food just made it as many homeowners joined us and the food was plentiful. All went home happy and full. Too bad that it was too chilly to swim on the last day ;(.

New Business: Voting was held regarding the new BOARD MEMBERS for 2006!!!!!
