The meeting was called to order at 10:07 am by President Alice Taylor. A quorum was established. Board members present were President Alice Taylor; Vice President Frank Samuelson; Secretary/Treasurer Eugene Bartee; Directors Nancy Cockshott, Dee Willemsen, Mike Dolio, Pat Tarpley; Alternate Michael Willemsen; Directors Geri Hill, and Jan Turner were excused. Administrative Assistant Sera James, present.
Guests present were Susan Tarpley Lot 55, Lynn Glocker Lot 70 and Gaylord Blackburn Lot 206.
Minutes of the previous meeting April 8, 2006, were read and approved as corrected, Frank Samuelson motioned and Pat Tarpley seconded. So moved.
Correspondence: Pete Molesworth emailed the President regarding issues and requested to be notified of next meeting. Pete was notified by Alice Taylor, President and failed to appear. All requests made by Pete were tabled until he could present them to the board as the complaints he is making are only being made by him.
One request made by a homeowner for information on whom in the area performs lot cleanup, President Alice Taylor was forwarded the email and responded with a local service.
Treasurer’s Report: Treasurers report was given, report was approved, Mike Willemsen motioned and Frank Samuelson seconded. So moved.
New Business: Discussion was made that the pool would be drained during the next week and Mike Parker was to resume the surfacing of the pool when it is sufficiently dry.
There was flooding in the park and Pat and Susan Tarpley wanted to inform the board that they took the liberty to dig a trench to reroute the water around the pool area. Discussion was made to either add sand or grass to the common area to hold back any erosion from affecting the area.
Pat is going to have the light “rehooked” up on the pool overlooking the NW corner of the pool house. And he is going to redo the basketball hoop as it was just hanging precariously off the pole.
Susan is getting keys made to have access to the pool and Frank said that he would work with her regarding training of the pool maintenance.
Pool should be open sometime in mid June and Susan is planning to hold a July 4th party the Saturday prior to the holiday after the parade.
Old Business: Administrative Assistant contacted the appraiser regarding the valuation of the pool. The appraiser stated that it would indeed be a commercial appraisal, meaning that it would cost in the thousands of dollars to get one done. She is willing to give us her “best educated guess” as to the value. She needs the specifics of the pool and poolhouse (i.e. sizes, ages, gallons, etc) and Gene said that he would contact her when he has the information available.
Mike Dolio is the VIP chair and has requested help and Frank and Mike W offered their years of expertise. Forms that will be required are available at CDF but not at this time as Mike D found out. They are expected to have them shortly as the winter season ran long and probably did not expect anyone needing them as yet.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None made.
Assets & Liabilities Report: There are no pending litigations and the assessments are adequate. No increases are being contemplated.
Meeting was adjourned at 11:02. Next meeting will be held on June 10, at 10:00 at Pool.
Respectfully submitted,
Sera A. James
Administrative Assistant
