The meeting was called to order at 10:05 am by President Alice Taylor. A quorum was established. Board members present were President Alice Taylor, Directors Nancy Cockshott, Frank Samuelson, Michael Willemsen, Dee Willemsen, Pat Tarpley, and Gene Bartee. Also present were Susan Tarpley (lot 55), Katie Foster (pool supervisor), and Sera James, Administrative Assistant. Vice-President Geri Hill, Treasurer Jeff Lindevald were excused.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved, Mike Willemsen motioned and Alice Taylor seconded. So moved.
Correspondence a phone call from Hatfield regarding construction and Lot 74 issued a complaint about the VIP program.
Treasurer’s Report was reviewed and approved as corrected by Frank Samuelson and seconded by Dee Willemsen.
Old Business: Pat Tarpley brought up the issue with lot 45 regarding an “almost dog biting incident” at lot 55. Issues were discussed regarding his safety. #1 raise the fines for lot 45, write a letter to the Sheriff about what is going on, Supervisor Merita Callaway being invited to the discussion. Motion made to write to the Sheriff and cc the supervisor of Lilac Park. Motion made Frank Samuelson, Dee Willemsen seconded. Unanimous vote by the board to accept. 0 nays. Pat Tarpley abstained due to relevance of subject.
Discussion was made of increasing fines “per magma” to the situation for the situation at Lot 45. It was tabled due to the fact that Lot 45 was told in their last letter that the fine would remain the same but multiply as complaints became before the board.
Issue was given and noted that the owner of Lot 45 when we write a letter to the Sheriff of Calaveras County that the owner of lot 45 would be given ample notice that he is going to appear and they can have a say in what is going on in that issue of the matter.
New Business: Gaylord is going to stay on as pool manager for the 2005 season and will accept a meager stipend of $30.00 a day to keep the pool running happily through this year. That entails that he show up at early morning and do all the chemical tests and then show up late in the evening and do all the tests and he is imparting chemicals each time to make sure that Lilac Park Pool is the safest pool to have fun in the sun this year.
Salary for Gaylord is just $30.00 per day – Mike Willemsen motioned, Pat Tarpley seconded. So moved.
Alice Taylor made a motion that the Administrative Assistant was not making enough money as to what she/he was expected to do. She motioned that the Administrative Assistant position make $400.00 a month vs. the previous $300 a month as budgeted. Frank Samuelson motioned, Dee Willemsen seconded, so moved.
Discussion was made regarding babysitters allowance at the pool while attending infants of Lilac Park Homeowner’s children.
Architectural review is being considered regarding Lot 164.
